WorldFan 2026 ("we", "us", or "our") is operated by Panashtech. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use WorldFan 2026 at myfancard.app (or worldfan.app), how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

By using WorldFan 2026, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Email address — if you sign up for match alerts for your team
• Fan name — the name you type on your fan card (optional; never linked to your identity unless you also provide your email)
• Predictions & player preferences — the prediction text and player name you add to your card

b) Quiz responses

When you take the team-matching quiz, your answers are processed locally in your browser to calculate your team match. We do not store individual quiz responses on our servers.

c) Automatically collected data

• Usage data — pages visited, time spent, referring URL (via Vercel Analytics)
• Device data — browser type, OS, screen resolution (anonymous)
• IP address — collected by our hosting provider (Vercel) for security and performance; we do not store or log IPs ourselves

d) Venue submissions

If you submit a venue watch party, we collect the venue name, address, contact email, and any description you provide. This information is stored in our database and may be displayed publicly on the site.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Send match alert emails for the team you chose (email only, if you opted in)
• Display your fan card with your chosen name, player, and prediction
• Show watch party venues on the site
• Improve the app — understand which features are used, fix bugs
• Prevent abuse and maintain security

We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it with anyone outside the services listed below.

WorldFan 2026 uses minimal browser storage:

• Session storage — temporarily stores your quiz result so it's available on the fan card page. Cleared when you close the browser tab.
• No advertising or tracking cookies — we do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party advertising trackers.

5. Data Retention

• Email subscriptions — kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion
• Venue submissions — kept for the duration of the FIFA 2026 tournament (until August 2026), then reviewed for deletion
• Fan card data — your name, player, and prediction are never stored on our servers; they exist only in your browser session and in the image you save or share

Depending on your location (including if you are in the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for email communications at any time (unsubscribe link in every email)
• Object to processing or request restriction

7. Children

WorldFan 2026 is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their email address, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

WorldFan 2026 is an independent fan app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to FIFA, the 2026 FIFA World Cup, or any national football association. Team names, flags, and tournament information are used for fan and informational purposes only.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of WorldFan 2026 after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
